Solihull Approach
The Solihull Approach is a programme which aims to support parents in understanding how a child develops as they grow, and explores sensitive and effective parenting. It aims to develop a framework of thinking about child/parenting relationships.
St James’ Catholic Primary School is excited to be able to offer a series of sessions for all parents. Initially, this is offered to all parents of children starting school in Reception class, but is also available to parents with children in other classes on request either in a group or on a one to one basis.
Sessions run for 1 hour a week over 10 weeks here in school and can be run during the day or after school. A creche facility can be provided on request if childcare is an issue.
Feedback from parents who have done the programme has been really positive.
